Green Shropshire Xchange



GSX groups are  taking action to support reaching Net Zero Carbon emissions.

There are many actions that an individual can take such as using public transport,cycling,not flying,

buying local food,installing solar panels,plant trees and reduce waste.

Local councils have agreed to declare a Climate Emergency inorder to reduce emissions and protect biodiversity.

Local groups are helping to produce action plans for towns such as Bridgnorth and Ludlow.

Shropshire council has agreed to a Climate Framework which involves a task force to deliver a Climate strategy in 2020

this will deal with the councils emiisions and actions for net zero by 2030.

Telford and Wrekin council has declared to plan actions on climate,biodiversity and plastics.

GSX will be involved with the partnerships set up by the councils and work to develop the vision for 2030

Marches LEP has produced an Energy strategy and GSX is represented on the Energy steering group

which will develop projects across the Marches region.

Bridgnorth have discussed proposals and will develop action plans.
